TRAClabs, Inc., a Robotics and Automation company, partnered with FuelFX to launch an Augment Reality(AR) App to engage and educate children and adults of all ages about the world-wide disaster relief robotics competition called the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC).

The goal is to generate groundbreaking research and development so that robots can perform the most hazardous activities in disaster response operations, in tandem with their human operators. Knowing the target user would range from children to adults, the design had to be an easy engaging experience with simple iconography and a clean interface to allow real estate to play.

The Big Push

A dynamic HTML5 microsite was created in tandem with the launch of the app to promote and act as a hub for all social media and news feeds in regards to Hercules and his achievements. Iconography, language and heavy branding played a huge role in bringing the technology and the TRAClabs audience together.
